KATIE MCNUTT

Katie McNutt is a native Floridian and back to her roots, living just outside of her small hometown of Bartow. She attributes much of her success and skills to the lessons she learned from her family, friends and active community involvement. Feeling as grounded as the oak trees she grew up with, Katie ventured out to combine her love of people, the outdoors and education. After graduating from Erskine College with a Bachelor of Science in Health, Wellness and Physical Education, Katie went on to teach, mentor and develop various programs for alternative schools, YMCA as well as the Boys and Girls Club. During these years, she spent her time in the mountains of Western North Carolina, implementing the outdoors and experiential education into life skills lessons for her young students.

After a trek across Spain, Katie decided to move closer to home and family, finding herself in Lakeland, FL. Using this time to assess her skills and build her experiences, Katie created LFNS, working with local families as well as a nanny for high profile, MLB athletes. Currently, Katie runs her company in tandem with teaching in the primary classroom of a Montessori school in Central Florida. The combination of her background as a professional nanny and elementary school teacher encouraged her to create a unique option for families and caregivers within her community.
