Snack Packs

It's not a secret that we love snacks. Salty and sweet, hot or cold, whichever is your go to, we have some healthy recipes waiting here for you!


Energy Bites

1/2 c peanut butter

1/3 c honey

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 c oats (granola, oats, mix)

1/2 c cereal of choice

* dried fruit is optional

[directions]

mix ingredients into a large bowl, then place 1 1/2 inch balls onto a wax paper covered cookie sheet.

place in the fridge for 1 hr.

Enjoy the needed energy!


Fruit Pops

Puree 3 c watermelon cubes

2 c fresh or frozen raspberries

1/4 c sugar

2 tbsp lime juice

[directions]

mix all ingredients into a bowl, then push through a strainer and toss solids.

Pour juice into molds and place in freezer. After 30 minutes, place sticks into molds and freeze for 6 hours.

Take these cool treats outdoors for a good time!


Hummus

3 c canned chickpeas (1 28oz can) drained and rinsed.

2 large garlic cloves peeled and crushed

1/2 tsp salt 

1/4 tsp pepper

2 tsp ground cumin

1/4 c lemon juice

1/4 c extra virgin olive oil

1/2 c water

1 tsp paprika

[directions]

combine all ingredients (except water and paprika) into a blender and set to puree setting, until creamy. Add water if it gets too thick.

turn off blender and scrape out hummus into a bowl. 

drizzle a little olive oil over the top and add pinch of paprika.

You did it! Your yummus is ready for you!
